Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide up to date communication and photos to management of job site status
  • Maintain inventory of material & equipment used on job sites
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Updates all parties involved relative to work progress.
  • Site preparation and protection
  • Work at the direction of the Lead Technician & Project Managers
  • Responsible for determining category of water per S-500
  • Extracts water using truck mounts, portables, and sump pumps
  • Assists in the determination of restorable building components
  • Works collaboratively with demolition, content and hazmat crews
  • Demolition of non-restorable materials
  • Calculates and sets up necessary drying equipment per S-500 protocols
  • Cleans and sanitizes structure
  • May be required to manipulate, block, or move contents
  • Monitors drying process and adjusts/removes equipment as required
  • Explains procedures to occupants/clients
  • Meticulous with homeowner belongings & must take great care of personal items
  • Work within an On Call rotation for after hours emergencies
  • Ensures that the health and safety policies and procedures are followed
  • Ensures project requirements are being fulfilled and deadlines are achieved.
  • Facilitate prompt and quality service
  • Detail orientated

  • Able to lift heavy items
  • Work overtime when required
  • Cleaning up properly after a job and maintaining good housekeeping habits during the project. 
  • Submit photographs and daily notes and information into on-line filing system
  • Action personal performance and appearance consistent with company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Certified WRT from IICRC is preferred, experience in the field will be considered valuable
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Valid BC Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation
  • Satisfactory driver abstract is required.
  • Clean criminal record as it relates to work
  • Experience driving and parking a cube truck or full sized panel van is considered an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of water damage restoration industry
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Must be capable of completing physical work including heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, crouching, sitting, bending and repetitive movements.
  • Demonstrates corporate citizenship and social responsibility
