What does a Restoration Estimator with Paul Davis do?
- Serve your community when it needs it the most
- Communicate with clients and adjusters and other stakeholders the scope and costs for assigned restoration projects
- Effectively manage projects, people and documentation through project hand-off to operations
- Write profitable estimates in both Xactimate and Symbility
- Coordinate and review estimates prepared by third-party estimators

- Obtains bids from vendor and contractors by clearly communicating what skills, materials and equipment are needed for each project
- Evaluates contending offers from vendors
- Prepares RMS AND PROGRAM PORTALS updates throughout the estimating process
- Resolves any cost discrepancies that arise
- Maintains continuity between the construction department and mitigation department through detailed documentation and communication.
- Coordinate with Coordinator/Estimator and Superintendent to develop, improve, and/or implement departmental procedures.
- Maintain 100% compliance with Industry Performance Scorecards

Restoration Estimators work with property owners, adjusters, Project Managers and other resources after traumatic events such as a fire or flood to clean up and repair damage to residential and commercial property. As a Restoration Estimator, you will be on scene after property disasters to accurately scope projects and sign work for our production teams to complete. You will write estimates and/or coordinate and review estimates written by third-party resources and proactively manage the process of obtaining carrier approval for the work. You will build relationships with insurance professionals and communicate with property owners the expectations to build the structure back to its original form.
Responsible for initial inspection, sketch, detailed scope obtains internal estimate approval. The estimator makes sure the project is staying within budget throughout all phases by requesting change orders and supplements as needed with approval from responsible payment party. The Estimator/Project Manager works with the Construction Superintendent to control project costs, time schedule, field staff, and subcontractors.

5 plus years in the restoration construction industry.
• Proficient in Xactimate (Preferred Level 1 + cert) and working with insurance adjusters
• Superior data collection and analysis skills
• Strong knowledge of organizing and implementing a budget
• A proven understanding of costs related to different projects
• Excellent reporting skills
• Must be a strong problem-solver and decision-maker
• Proven experience managing a construction site
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and multitask
• An extreme attention to every detail
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Excellent managerial & communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to mediate disputes
• Knowledge of all necessary zoning permits and building codes
• Experience hiring field employees & subcontractors.
• Experience procuring materials and equipment for large construction projects
• Ability to refocus if project falls behind schedule
