Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Project Manager/Estimator to oversee disaster restoration and reconstruction projects from initial estimate through completion. This role offers a healthy work/life balance, a supportive team environment, and a flexible work schedule. Approximately 40% of your time will be spent in the field and 60% in the office, with strong administrative support to ensure efficiency and project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed field inspections to determine project scope and requirements.

  • Prepare accurate estimates using Xactimate (XM8) or Symbility.

  • Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters and property owners to facilitate project progress.

  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.

  • Manage change orders and maintain updated project documentation.

  • Oversee quality control measures to ensure work meets company and client standards.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong professional relationships.

  • Ensure projects adhere to approved budgets.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in construction-related project management (preferably with a high-end home builder, small general contractor, or as a property claims field adjuster).

  • Project Types: Experience managing residential (70%) and light commercial (30%) projects ranging from $5,000 to $2 million.

  • Established network of local subcontractors and vendors.

  • Strong knowledge of construction cost control and project scheduling.

  • Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including innovative approaches to reconstruction.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Xactimate (XM8), Symbility, and DASH software.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and smartphone applications.

Education & Certifications

  • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Restoration industry certifications from IICRC are a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs as part of the inspection process.
