Business to Business Sales Job description
Are you a SALES PRO looking to make an IMPACT? Our ideal candidate must be able to develop relationships with local center of influences at commercial properties and provide quick response times to calls within their geographic area. Additionally, candidates must have availability 24/7 to respond quickly to local emergencies. Our sales team is given a base salary and typically earns between $60-$150k annually. There is no experience required, but a great attitude and a desire to assist people after a disaster are necessary! If you are driven to succeed you have the possibility of earning well into the six (6) figures in your first year.
Responsibilities: You will be pursuing/chasing emergency leads to sell our company's services to affected homeowners and/or business owners. You will be expected to show up at the scene of an emergency, make contact with the property owner, and sell our necessary and required services to mitigate the damage caused by the emergency. You need to be active, self-motivated, have good communication skills, responsible, professional, and experienced individual in the marketing field to build customer relations and create future clientele and revenue growth. Having empathy and sympathy is required to be successful.
Promote and sell franchise services in assigned territory, which results in meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals. Grow and develop commercial customer base by utilizing a systematic business development process to identify new commercial prospects and cultivate relationships using marketing materials like SERVPRO® Key Differentiators, Emergency Ready Plan, National sponsorships, and others to market and sell SERVPRO® Services. Attend, coordinate, and promote marketing, networking, and continuing education events. Monitor loss activity and priority responding to generate work from these opportunities. Provide and communicate clear and accurate pretesting, scoping of services, and job estimates. Monitor and follow up on all assigned jobs, ensuring customer needs are met and all applicable Centers of Influence (COIs) are identified and captured for future reference.

Necessary Experience and Skill Set
- A minimum two years of progressively responsible business-to-business sales experience
- Experience with sales and marketing within the service sector
- Superb sales, customer service, administrative, and verbal and written communication skills
- Strong business and financial background and process- and results-driven attitude
- Experience in the commercial cleaning and restoration or insurance industry is desired
- Working knowledge of current business software technologies is required
Formal Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent experience.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This job operates in both a professional office and field environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Travel is up to 90%, primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required.
Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours, and Travel Requirements
This is a full-time exempt FLSA status position working varying hours between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position may require longer hours, and some flexibility in hours may be needed dependent upon the business needs. Weekend responses to emergency leads are not required, but highly encouraged.
Wages
Base Salary of $50,000 per year with uncapped commissions
