Job Description: Mitigation Technician (Restoration Technician)

Position Summary

The Mitigation Technician is responsible for performing emergency restoration services related to water, fire, mold, and biohazard losses. This role involves responding to residential and commercial properties, assessing damage, implementing drying and remediation plans, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring customer satisfaction while following company procedures, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency calls for water, fire, mold, and related losses
    • Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and debris removal
    • Set, monitor, and adjust drying equipment
    • Conduct moisture checks using meters and thermal imaging
    • Assist with mold remediation containment and removal
    • Document job progress with photos, notes, and daily logs
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites
    • Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders
    • Maintain mitigation equipment and company vehicles
    • Follow OSHA, IICRC, and company safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
    • Ability to work nights, weekends, and on-call rotations

Preferred Qualifications

  • IICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT)
    • Previous restoration or construction experience

  • Frequent lifting, bending, standing
