**Job Title: Xactimate Estimator for Water Damage Restoration**

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Xactimate Estimator to join our water damage restoration team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of both mitigation and repair processes, with hands-on experience in estimating water damage claims accurately and efficiently. This role requires a thorough understanding of insurance billing, property damage assessment, and Xactimate software to produce precise and comprehensive estimates.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Conduct detailed inspections of water-damaged properties to assess the extent of damage.
- Utilize Xactimate software to develop accurate estimates for water mitigation, damage repairs, and restoration services.
- Differentiate between mitigation and repair needs, ensuring all necessary work is included and properly priced.
- Collaborate with project managers, restoration technicians, and clients to understand scope of work.
- Prepare detailed estimates that comply with insurance company requirements and industry standards.
- Review and update estimates as work progresses or scope changes.
- Assist in negotiating insurance claims and explaining estimates to insurance adjusters and clients.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current building codes, industry standards, and insurance policies related to water damage restoration.
- Keep detailed records of estimates, project progress, and communication with stakeholders.
- Stay updated on changes in Xactimate software features and water damage restoration best practices.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience as an Xactimate estimator in water damage restoration or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of water mitigation and repair processes, including drying, mold remediation, structural repairs, and cosmetic fixes.
- Proficiency in Xactimate (latest version preferred).
- Understanding of insurance claim procedures and adjuster expectations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, insurance adjusters, and team members.
- Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and damage reports.
- Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation.

**Preferred Skills:**

- Certifications such as IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) or similar.
- Experience with other estimating or project management software.
- Knowledge of local building codes and environmental regulations.
