Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Disaster Restoration Technician to join our team. As a Disaster Restoration Technician, you will play a critical role in restoring and repairing various structures and properties that have been damaged by fire, water, or other disasters. Your expertise and attention to detail will be vital in ensuring the successful completion of restoration projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate damaged structures and properties to determine the extent of restoration required
  • Perform restoration tasks such as water extraction, drying, cleaning, deodorizing, and rebuilding
  • Remove and dispose of damaged materials, including furniture, fixtures, and other debris
  • Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to carry out restoration activities efficiently and safely
  • Follow industry standards, guidelines, and safety protocols during the restoration process
  • Collaborate with a team of restoration professionals to complete projects within specified timeframes
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders throughout the restoration process
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including documentation of damages, repairs, and expenses
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Stay updated on the latest restoration techniques, equipment, and industry trends
Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications, vocational training in a related field or restoration training (IICRC certification) is an asset
  • Proven experience as a Disaster Restoration Technician or in a similar role is beneficial
  • Knowledge of restoration techniques for fire, water, wind and mold damage
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, drying equipment, deodorization treatments and other methods used in restoration projects
  • Ability to interpret and follow work orders, diagrams, and instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in challenging situations
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; strong customer service skills
Salary and Benefits:
  
  • Wages will depend on experience, but starting salary will range from $17-$20 per hour
  • Wages paid bi-weekly via direct deposit
