Restoration Estimators work with owners, adjusters, and Project Managers after traumatic events such as a fire or flood to clean up and repair damage to residential and commercial property. As a RE, you will be on scene after property disasters to accurately scope projects and sign work for our production teams to complete. You will build relationships with insurance professionals and communicate with property owners the expectations to build the structure back to its original form.

  • Base plus. Our current REs yearly pay range from $50,000 to $100,000 depending on their production. No limit to earning potential.

 

Team Qualifications (Requirements):

  • Ability to clearly deliver truth and give certainty when property owners need it most
  • Proficient with variety of current technology
  • Career emphasis on learning and continuing education
  • Sound planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Valid Driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience

Previous estimating experience (ex. Xactimate) is welcomed if willing to continually learn within industry. Industry certifications, including IICRC and Lead preferred. If limited experience but you meet all qualifications, we will invest in your training.

 

Job Summary:

The Desk Estimator will compile the scope of work and create estimates while ensuring a high quality of service in all dealings with customers, clients, and resource providers involved in our services. The Desk Estimator will estimate the cost of all aspects of restoration, contents, mitigation, structure clean, mold remediation, and rebuild, through the use of Xactimate, negotiate reconstruction costs with insurance carrier representatives, and communicate with the Project Manager on all issues affecting the project or budget. This is a team-oriented position with constant communication required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  •  Use Xactimate and Symbility software to estimate residential and commercial water, fire, wind and mold restoration and reconstruction projects
  • Scope projects and create estimates using documentation from the field including, but not limited to, Matterport scans, claim photos and scopes provided from Project Managers.
  • Negotiate fair and accurate scope/cost for repairs
  • Handle estimating inquiries and demonstrate a high level of problem resolution and technical assistance.
  • Set proper client expectations and meet them • Establish and maintain good relationships with insurance adjusters, claim representatives, third party administrators, and insurance carriers.
  • Work with Project Managers to properly identify and document project scope of work. • Upload estimate to Insurance Carriers through Xactanalysis or other software.
  • Monitor estimate approvals by adjusters, Carriers or TPA’s.
  • Obtain payment summary information from customer.
  • Communicate and document any change orders and insurance supplements.
  • Maintain estimate related information in Project Management software
  • .Site visits for scoping and estimating on larger projects

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
